I have been doing frame restorations for many years. I buy old frames, even those that are 100 years old. Many of them don't have glass & don't have a back at all, but only cardboard that supports the image or photos. As for the back of the frame, these old frames in those times did not even have a back, because the pictures/ images /paintings were framed in framing shops, & in the end, they glued brown natron paper over the entire frame from the back. So please read the detailed item description & footnote before purchasing. The dominant colors on the frame are: black & gold. The oval frame is old, from the '60s (approximately) & restored. The frame changes color depending on the light & background (because of the gold patina)! You can see it on the pictures. You can frame a mirror, print or some piece of art. The frame is designed for horizontal image/ painting. But can be adjusted with a new hook to be a vertical frame. ( just let me know ) Ornate oval wall frame is a perfect detail for your Gothic/ Witch /Vampire/ Victorian /home, for housewarming, for special gifts... Materials: wood, plaster, glue, clay, acrylic paints, gold patina, lacquer Measures (external): 27 cm x 22.5 cm x 4.5 cm or 10.6 x 8.9 x 1.8 Measures (internal): 16.5 cm x 11.5 cm or 6.5 x 4.5 Footnote: the frame goes without glass & back. You could insert two pieces of cardboard to hold ( support) the photo/ image/artwork & then stick brown natron paper on the back of the frame ( it would be enough to hold your picture/ print/artwork). in the description of the pictures, I put a suggestion on how to make the background of the frame yourself.
