A lovely & charming vintage Ercol rocking chair, model 428 designed by Lucian Ercolani. Circa 1960s. The beech & elm construction has its original dark wood stain with hues of darker ebony shades showing through. The smaller proportions of this versatile chair make it a delight for room placement But don't be fooled by the proportions, as this is most certainly a chair that fits all. A superb example, aged beautifully, retaining a deep rich colouring. Condition: Solid, robust & fully functional with wear commensurate with age but mostly confined to ends of arms where palms would rest. Here you will see small areas of wonderful honey oak colouring showing through.
