Morris & Co Pimpernel, Arts & Crafts, green, dark pink, beige & burgundy red flowers cushion cover, throw pillow cover, home decor. William Morris famously said, Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful. Hand sewn cushion cover made from a piece of William Morris furnishing weight linen piped in a matching dark pink cotton. Designed by William Morris for wallpaper in 1876, this pattern is typical of some of Morris greatest designs & hung in his own dining room at Kelmscott House, Hammersmith (quote from the Morris & Co website ). The cover is lined in a matching linen & cotton mix fabric. All the seams have been double sewn & four stitched overlocked for strength. The cushion has a flap on the reverse for ease of opening. Mild handwash at 30 degrees.
