Vintage Motorcycle Norton Mighty Atlas 750 Poster, motorbike bike industrial, British London Plumstead, wall art retro 1960s The Norton Atlas was a Norton motorcycle made between 1962 & 1968. The Mark 1 Atlas was launched as the 750SS in the early 1960s, but by the time it appeared c. 1962 it was being called a 750cc Atlas, with Norton's famous Featherbed frame. Designer Bert Hopwood’s 1949 497cc Dominator engine had been bored & stroked over the years to 745cc, via 600cc & then 650cc versions, to appeal to the American market & initially was only produced for export. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm. This poster looks like it's been hung up for some time & has great authentic wear & age & has kept its colour well. These posters are sent as unframed.
