Vintage Australian Prevent Bush Fires Poster, 400 dollar fine, signed by B Chatterton, Minister for Agriculturewall art from the 1970s This is a unique piece of wall art from Australia, made from a cloth-like linen, with the headline, Prevent Bush Fires & $400 penalty for breaking the law. It was signed by BA Chatterton, who was the Labor government minister from 1975-1979 which helps date this artwork. Fires are banned out in the open during the dry summer months. Dimensions: 22.8 in x 15.7 in (58 cm x 40 cm) Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.
