Vintage AIS Shipping Poster, 1966 French, Transcaparis, Carbo San Roque ship Advertising print wall art 1960s AIS Transcaparis was a French shipping firm in the 1960s & 70s. The ship pictured is the Cabo San Roque built by Ybarra in 1957 in Bilbao. It was commissioned by Ybarra for their Europe to South America route, tailored mainly for the transport of immigrants, budget tourists, students & even religious pilgrims. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.
