Original Vintage Great Britain Houses of Parliament Travel Poster London Britain River Thames travel tourism holiday vacation wall art 1950s Vintage rare tourism poster advertising Britain. This is a fantastic image of the Houses of Parliament. It dates at least from the late 1950's & this would have been displayed in France judging from the stamp on the reverse of the poster. The poster was published in Britain by The British Travel Association & printed by, Sun Printers Ltd, London & Watford. Note there is slight paper loss & wrinkling at the edges. The Palace of Westminster serves as the meeting place for both the House of Commons & the House of Lords, the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Informally known as the Houses of Parliament after its occupants, the Palace lies on the north bank of the River Thames in the City of Westminster, in central London, England. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm. When framed these colourful & detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time. These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection. See the FAQ for more information on shipping, tracking & insurance options.
