Original Vintage French Pyrenees Travel Poster SNCF National Railways Train Mountains travel tourism holiday vacation wall art 1960s 1963 A charming original vintage travel poster promoting tourist destinations on the French side of the Pyrenees mountains. Photograph shows the Pyrenees mountains in the distance, & the southern French plains leading to them. Country: France Year:1963 Designer: Meheux Dimensions: 39.8 in x 24.4 in (101 cm x 62 cm) Note the fold line, which should mostly press up against glass. The Pyrenees is a mountain range between Spain & France. Reaching a height of 3,404 metres altitude at the peak of Aneto, it extends for about 491 km from its union with Cantabrian Mountains to the Mediterranean Sea. For the most part, the main crest forms a divide between Spain & France, with the microstate of Andorra sandwiched in between. Historically, the Crown of Aragon & the Kingdom of Navarre extended on both sides of the mountain range Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm. When framed these colourful & detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time. These posters are sent as unframed.
