1999 Sigmund Freud Poster, Psychiatrist, Conflict & Culture, The Jewish Museum, New York gallery exhibition, wall art decor This exhibition poster is from the The Jewish Museum on 5th Avenue in NYC for an exhibition in 1999 featuring Conflict & Culture. It features of the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud in his London home in 1938. Dimensions: 18 in x 23.5 in (46 cm x 60 cm) Condition: small edge tear in bottom right, see photos. Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist & the founder of psychoanalysis, a clinical method for evaluating & treating pathologies in the psyche through dialogue between a patient & a psychoanalyst. What is special about exhibition & gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm. These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard-backed envelope for protection. They have been stored folded.
