1997 Dieppe Travel Poster, SNCF, French National Railways, by Suzanne Hulot from 1930 original, travel tourism, wall art decor A charming vintage travel poster promoting the seaside town of Dieppe, only two hours from Paris!. This is a 1997 SNCF reprint of the Suzanne Hulot 1930 original. Fantastic colours in the art deco style. Country: France Year:1997 Designer: Suzanne Hulot Note the photos for this poster, there is a large water stain on the top left of the poster. Dieppe is a coastal community in the Arrondissement of Dieppe in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region of northern France. A port on the English Channel, at the mouth of the Arques river, famous for its scallops, & with a regular ferry service to Newhaven in England, Dieppe also has a popular pebbled beach, a 15th-century castle & the churches of Saint-Jacques & Saint-Remi. The mouth of the river Scie lies at Hautot-sur-Mer, directly to the west of Dieppe. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm. When framed these colourful & detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time. These posters are sent as unframed.
