1990 Francesc Catal-Roca Poster, Galeria Maeght Barcelona, Photographer, gallery exhibition wall art decor This exhibition poster is from the Galeria Maeght Barcelona, Spain for the 1990 exhibition featuring Fotografies. Dimensions: 27.5 in x 19.5 in (70 cm x 50 cm) Condition: some light marks, see photos. Catal-Roca is considered a master of Catalan documentary photography. He started out at the studio of his father by him Pere Catal Pic. in 1947 he opened his own studio & specialized in industrial photography & illustration. He collaborated with important magazines of his time & photos of him illustrate uncountable books. He focused on diverse subject matters like natural & urban landscapes, ethnographic documentary or artist's portraits. For his work he received the Ciutat de Barcelona award. What is special about exhibition & gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm. These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard-backed envelope for protection. They have been stored folded.
