1988 RSPB Suburban British Birds Poster, Urban, National History Museum, ornithology, wall art decor by Hilary Burn This is an original 1988 poster from the National History Museum & Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) about Urban & Suburban British Birds local to cities, towns & villages. Hilary Burn is an English wildlife illustrator. in 1971 she began her career as illustrator for natural history books & she illustrated birds in gouache. in 1983 she was elected member of the Society of Wildlife Artists. Burn illustrated many ornithological works, including 15 volumes of the Handbook of the Birds of the World & the Helm Identification Guides. Because of the age of these posters, & their use in the classroom, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. When framed these colourful & detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time. This poster will be rolled up & delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
