Dimensions: 33 in x 23.5 in (84 cm x 60 cm) Printed by Quickborner Georges Braque was a major 20th-century French painter, collagist, draughtsman, printmaker & sculptor. His most important contributions to the history of art were in his alliance with Fauvism from 1905, & the role he played in the development of Cubism. Braque's work between 1908 & 1912 is closely associated with that of his colleague Pablo Picasso. Their respective Cubist works were indistinguishable for many years, yet the quiet nature of Braque was partially eclipsed by the fame & notoriety of Picasso. What is special about exhibition & gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm. These posters are sent as unframed.
