Designed by Andr Amstutz. Litho-offset in colors printed by Waterlow & Sons, London. Dimensions: 40.2 in x 25.2 in (102 cm x 64 cm) A fine example of an early British poster aimed at taking a widening proportion of the middle classes on early Winter Sport holidays. It advertises flying BEA to skiing destinations in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden & Switzerland. Beautifully presented skier in a vintage, mid-century style carving his way through the snow, steeped in colour. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm. Note: there is a slight tape stain in the bottom right, just stain, no repair. When framed these colourful & detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time. These posters are sent as unframed.
