1950s Vintage SNCF French safety poster, Watching eyes, vigilance, by Dubruille, industrial, train rail dangers, retro wall art decor This French poster by Dubruille is from the period of 1954-1964, commissioned by French rail SNCF to alert rail workers the dangers of working on the railway. This poster shows the vigilance required to ensure things are safe. Dimensions: 15.7 in x 11.8 in (40 cm x 30 cm) Condition: some edge damage, a fold, see photos The captions are, contre les accidents.... votre vigilance (feux de gare) which broadly translates to against accidents.... your vigilance (station lights) This would be a great piece of wall art for a a rail or train themed room, or as an artistic safety notice before the days of health & safety. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years in the classroom are part of the vintage charm. When framed these colourful & detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.
