From our new framed collection: INTERTWINED is the largest & final piece in the collection. The name 'Lambod-lambod' is a Bisaya expression meaning to become tangled or knotted. It's a play on words, as macrame is a collection of decorative knots & braids. Despite not being able to find a direct translation of the 'art of macrame' in our native tongue, we thought Lambod-lambod served as that. This piece embodies the rhetoric of meeting halfway. Through life we're constantly finding ourselves going in every which direction & sometimes getting stuck, pulling back, finding ourselves tangled. Paths meet dynamically. A dance between tension & release within every connection we make. A perfect housewarming gift. Despite its domineering size, we think it's dainty enough in its monochromatic colour scheme to serve as a minimalistic piece to adorn your space. The frame was made custom at a local frame shop.
