A charming antique French bentwood dressing table C1910 in the manner of Thonet. This pretty dressing table stands on small bun feet on a beech bentwood base with cherry wood top & drawers, which supports a lovely scrolling bentwood mirror, adjustable for rake. The two drawers have decorative marbled green bakelite knobs & run freely. in good vintage condition, the bentwood is strong & the piece sits nicely & is sturdy enough for everyday use. Like a lot of bentwood furniture it has a few signs of old woodworm holes particularly in one of the back feet, which have been treated as a precaution. It has recently been wax polished, the insides of the drawers are clean & usable. There are a couple of small splits in the bentwood, but nothing serious. A charming & typically French piece of decorative bentwood funiture, perfect for a vintage or contemporary bedroom, with a fabulous vintage patina.
