Large Japanese Carved Throne Chair. A late 19th Century - early 20th Century Japanese carved wood possibly rosewood armchair elaborately & richly carved in deep relief with shobu (irises), waves, & panels of sparrow amid chrysanthemum, the shield back & shaped seat supported on scroll-footed cabriole legs. Dimensions: 72cm wide x 61cm deep x 44cm seat height x 76cm arm height x 121cm high at the back. Condition: Solid condition, a couple of historic repairs, age & wear, wear to the finish.
