Worms Of The Sea, Vintage Book Plate, Print ready to frame, from Hutchinsons Animals Of All Countries 1920s Magazine, Theo Carreras Painting. This listing is for a beautiful & very colourful vintage book plate of Beautiful Worms Of The Sea from a painting by Theo Carreras. The plate is taken from a 1920s magazine, Hutchinson's Animals of all Countries which was sold in 48 fortnightly parts. The Sea Worms are printed on heavyweight paper with a slight gloss to the finish & the plate is blank on the reverse. The magazine I have taken this from was falling apart, the staples were rusty & had marked all the pages so I have trimmed the plate slightly to remove rust marks. The plate measures 11 inches by 8 inches so is the same width as an A4 sheet of paper but is about half an inch shorter. This is a vintage item & this plate has some wear around the edges together with a bit of a grubby look to the edges. in addition there is a large crease across the bottom right corner of the book plate but this is only on the white border, if you are planning on framing this plate any imperfections would probably be removed by trimming to fit a frame or by a mount board or the frame itself. This colour plate is perfect for framing or to use in your vintage arts & crafts such as junk journals, scrapbooks & mixed media collage.
