These small indoor planters are hand thrown & hand-painted in my garden studio in Sussex, England. Each of my patterns has a story behind it. This one is named 'Tide Mills', it is inspired by long, hazy summer days spent eating picnics at ‘Tide Mills’, a ruined mill just behind a stretch of pebbly beach between Seaford & Newhaven in Sussex. Each piece is handthrown on a pottery wheel & then left to dry a little, the underside is then trimmed & tidied. It is then left to dry out & ready for it's first firing. Once fired it is then dipped in glaze & hand-painted with my patterns. It is then ready for it's final firing in the kiln. Things to know: TWO SIZES: SMALL (Approximate) Height 6.5cm, Diameter 9cm. This planter is made to fit a standard 5cm high plant pot inside. MEDIUM (Approximate) Height 7cm Diameter 10cm This planter is made to fit a standard 6cm high plant pot inside. This range is made from high fired stoneware clay. It is hard-wearing, suitable for microwaves & dishwashers. Each piece is handmade on a pottery wheel & then hand-painted, so there may be slight variation in size & colour. As this item is not factory made, there may be very minor imperfections. I make my pottery in small batches so you will not necessarily receive the exact item pictured. PACKAGING + SHIPPING My products are wrapped in brown paper & then gift-wrapped in black tissue paper with fancy tape, they are then packed with paper into very sturdy boxes to ensure they arrive in one piece!
