A beautiful & unusual animal art cushion cover featuring Yuri Vasnetsov's artwork. Three little bear cubs trying to catch the moon are so very cute. A cushion with this cover will look lovely in any nursery or living room. It will also make a very memorable & unique Christmas & new baby gift. Yuri Vasnetsov was a Russian artist & illustrator most famous for the colourful folk art illustrations of children's books during the Soviet times. He was also my Grandfather :) I never knew him as he passed away 7 years before I was born but, as many Russian children, I grew up with the cheerful books of nursery rhymes & fairy tales that he illustrated. As a child, I often stayed with my Grandmother & listened to her stories about him. The flat & his studio in St Petersburg, Russia haven't changed as my aunt still lives & works there (she is an artist too). Each year I visit my mum & aunt in summer, now with my kids & now it's their turn to explore the many curious items & unusual clay toys the flat is full of & spend hours looking at the wonderful illustrations Yuri Vasnetsov, their Great Grandfather, created. My dream is to introduce more & more people to Yuri Vasnetsov, his artistic heritage & the beautiful world of imagination & colour he created. The same design is printed on both: the back & the front of the cushion cover. Kapelki Art cushion covers are made of Organic Panama Natural Fabric (100% cotton) in England. Please note, this fabric has small pips in the cottons that can release during finishing & washing. This is part of the nature of the organic fabric however please note it might leave some unprinted dots on the fabric, which may be particularly noticable with solid colours.
