This cute blue cover will make a very special Christmas gift, too. The fairytale-like cabin in snow was painted by Yuri Vasnetsov, who was a Russian artist & illustrator. He was most famous for the vivid folk art illustrations of children's books in 1930s-70s. I grew up with the colourful books of nursery rhymes & fairy tales that Grandfather illustrated. When I was a child, I often stayed with my Grandmother & listened to her stories about him. The flat & Vasnetsov's studio in St Petersburg, Russia haven't changed as my aunt still lives & works there (she is an artist too). Each year I visit my mum & aunt in summer, now with my kids & now it's their turn to explore the many curious items & unusual clay toys the flat is full of & spend hours looking at the wonderful illustrations Yuri Vasnetsov, their Great Grandfather, created. My dream is to introduce more & more people to Yuri Vasnetsov, his artistic heritage & the beautiful world of imagination & colour he created. Cushion size is approximately 45cm x 45cm (17.7 x 17.7) The same design is printed on both sides: the front & the back of the cushion cover. Kapelki Art cushion covers are made from Organic Panama Natural Fabric (100% cotton) in England. Please note, this fabric has small pips in the cottons that can release during finishing & washing. This is part of the nature of the organic fabric however please note it might leave some unprinted dots on the fabric, which may be noticable with solid colours. This listing is for cushion cover only. The insert is not included. When choosing the insert for a cushion cover, we recommend to go for a size bigger which will give the cushion a plump look.
