I made my way down to the frozen lake as the sun began to rise. The air was crisp & the sky was a deep shade of blue. I set up my equipment, eager to capture the beauty of the frozen lake after the fresh snowfall. As I began to take photos, I quickly realized that getting the right angle was proving to be a struggle. The frozen cat tails seemed to blend in with the rest of the lake, making them difficult to spot. I tried different lenses, different angles, & different settings, but nothing seemed to work. Just as I was about to give up, the sun came out from behind the clouds & bathed the lake in a warm, golden light. I quickly snapped a photo & was overjoyed to see that the sun had highlighted the frozen cat tails, making them stand out over the ice on the lake. With the sun shining down, I captured the perfect shot. The frozen cat tails seemed to dance in the light, their delicate puffs glistening in the sun. I couldn't be happier with the results, knowing that this photo would be a treasure for years to come. With the perfect shot in the bag, I packed up my equipment, trudged back up the hill through the deep snow & made my way back home, content in the knowledge that I had captured a truly special moment.
