This Freda hat is a classic small brimmed velvet hat. It's made from a grey high quality cotton velvet. The brim ranges from 7 cm at the back to 7.75 cm at the front & is strengthened with boning on the outer edge to ensure it keeps it's shape. It is finished off with a matching velvet rose. Velvet hats are not waterproof....look elsewhere in my listings for those....but it won't hurt the hat to get it wet & it does keep a certain amount of the rain off you. This is the grey hat but we also make this style in black, purple, royal blue & wine red. Please look on my other items if you would like one of these.
