Wonderful lot of vintage 6 gilded Italian hand painted Toleware coasters & matching ribbed caddy. Italian tole refers to the technique of adding decorative paint to metal & is usually made in or near Florence. The caddy measures approximately 4 x 3 tall, & the top has a beautiful print of a cherub. There are 3 each of 2 different designs. The sides are ribbed & the bottom is marked Made in Italy. There is a hallmark on the bottoms of each coaster. Wonderful set for collectors!
