This is a rare & lovely water, wine or spirit decanter & glasses set dating to the heyday of the Anglo-French Concorde supersonic passenger jet. Known as The Queen Of The Sky, Concorde first flew in 1969 & began a regular trans Atlantic service between London & Paris to New York in 1973. This set was given to an airline executive who knew Brian Trubshaw the test pilot & the first man to fly the prototype Concordes 001 & 002. Made in France by Arc Glass, the set is super solid & heavy with different transfer prints of Concorde on each piece with silver metallic borders. The decanter is about 22cm tall & 750ml or 24 fl oz capacity. The glasses are 9.5cm x 8cm top diameter. Set weight 2162g. in near mint condition with no glass chips or scuffs to the transfers.
