A superb pair of decorative door frame/wall consoles or corbels. (Architectural decorative salvage) Very original & a beautiful rustic aged look with green/gold patination to these alluring female portrait heads. Material: Chalkware/plaster, or a combination of the two. Hanging hooks attached. These attractive & quite fascinating wall consoles could be used as hanging decorative wall pieces, stand alone, or perhaps either side of a an old gilt mirror would work really well. Originally they would have been used as an adornment to a period doorway/frame, or as supports to a shelf which would still be possible with a bit of adaption. Condition: Really aged looking patination of gold & green to the surface, almost a Verdigris appearance in places. Lots of small & larger chips showing small areas of the plaster but very appealing nevertheless. One might chose to do a little bit of touching up here & there, but they are very nice as they are.
