A stunning compact desk designed in the 1960’s. Welters were a well respected furniture company working alongside other popular design outlets such as Ercol in the same area. This rare mid century teak desk bureau by Welters of Wycombe has 4 drawers that run well. The pull out desk leaf is solid & slides smoothly. Perfect for a laptop to sit on top of it. Superb matchbook Teak & walnut throughout. Original Black Leatherette on the pull out section is in great condition with minimal use. Original shaped handles free from damage or repair. Tambour doors work well & provide elegant storage for your office needs The drawer fronts are solid dovetailed teak with quality veneers used elsewhere. As with many mid century items there are signs of use which have been gently restored & refinished in our workshop to a high standard meaning it’s ready for another 50 years of use. Naturally this is a mid century item & as such does have blemishes in line with this age including scratches which have been treated & stabilised as you can see in the photos.
