A superb example of this rare long credenza by Alfred Cox. This is Alfred Cox at their absolute best. No expense spared in its production. The exterior is straight grain French walnut. The drawer fronts are solid wood with superb quality veneers added all around the sideboard. The direction of the veneers was designed to create a wonderful overall look. Even the inside of the sideboard is pure luxury with maple internal veneers to the cupboards. Velvet lined maple internal drawers that slide beautifully. The top drawer on the bank of 4 has dividers built in with a blue original baize still present with very little wear. The velvet is like new condition. All walnut handles are solid & none are broken. The ironmongery is all in excellent condition. The sideboard has had a complete refinish in our specialist workshop which has left it with an almost flawless finish. The only imperfection is a tiny loss to the right hand back corner as pictured. Not really noticeable. Any other blemishes are minimal but please remember it is an item from the 1960’s so there is some wear. Thankfully since it was bought it’s never been moved hence the outstanding condition.
