Every single one of our ceramic creations has a story that inspires us to create a particular design. Back in the 5th century BC the Greeks developed fired unglazed earthenware for storage & cooking. However, the pots & bowls were porous & unable to hold water until the development of glazes in the 1st century BC in Egypt. Although the Greeks weren't the ones who created glaze techniques they were the ones who perfected it, Greek pottery is famous for its depicting human, animal & botanical figures. Just like ancient Greeks we looked to nature for inspiration & came up with this colourful flowery bowl. This product is 100% handmade, it was baked twice in a kiln at temperatures - between 1800 & 2400 degrees F (982 - 1315 degrees C) & glazed by one of our highly skilled artists. It is suitable for both decorative & practical uses, you can use in in the kitchen it's very handy for serving fruit, both bowl & the cover are dishwasher friendly.
