Description
This beautiful contemporary hand-built bud vase with blue stripes is fabulous as decorative item or can carry beautifully a single rosebud or a small bouquet of wild flowers as shown in the photo. It was made of white earthenware clay, hand-painted with cobalt blue tulips & finally dipped in transparent glaze upon which it was fired to cone 04 (1063C) in an electric kiln. The base was left unglazed & is impressed with my maker's mark. I love the feel & look of handmade ceramics; the little quirks & characteristics are what makes me fall in love with a certain piece & create a lifelong bond. The vessels are well made, with lots of love, care & skill. The techniques I use are hand-building, coiling, & pinching.
