Botanical print from the 1920s of an Iris Pallida, or Grand Purple Flag flower. This flower art print is in a large cream / beige wood frame highlighted in a reddish brown. On the reverse are the words Iris Palladia & Grand Purple Flag written in pencil in copperplate writing. The paint on the frame has chipped here & there & there is some age marking to the print giving an aged shabby chic appeal to this unusual & rare piece. Print with frame measures 15 x 16 1/2 inches (38 x 42 cms). This lovely piece of botanical wall art would make a wonderful focal point above a fireplace or placed against a neutral background to highlight the lilac colour of the flower.
