(3) Attaching cushions to the chairs The seat cushions come with 2 straps/press-studs to attach the cushion to the base studs screwed to the bottom of the seat. The back cushions come with 2 straps/press-studs to attach the cushion to the base studs screwed into the back of the char. (4) Stud Sizes Our cushions are equipped with 15mm standard press studs. For precise measurements & a closer look at the typical base studs found beneath Ercol chairs, please refer to the photos available in the link below. If you happen to have different base studs, particularly in older Ercol chairs, we recommend considering a switch to the standard base studs. This is a straightforward DIY task, taking just 2 minutes per chair - it's that easy.
