Ceramic serving bowl has a very unusual glaze. The color is called Angel Eyes which looks like blue denim with a touch of brown, on Soldate clay. It's a dark blue with undertones of brown, & has a high gloss. This large bowl is 6 3/4 in diameter, & stands 3 1/4 tall, about 3 deep. Excellent for serving vegetables, rice, or any side dish. Someone with a healthy appetite would use these as soup, cereal or salad bowls , or even bowls for stew, chili or pasta. Also available in my shop are two matching small bowls, combined with those, this bowl would make a lovely taco set, using the large bowl for the meat portion of the tacos, & the smaller bowls for onions, jalapenos, or anything other condiment you wish to add to your tacos. They were handmade by Terese, & are signed TT on the bases. These are heavy, utilitarian, every day kind of dishes & would be a great addition for anyone's rustic, farmhouse, or country pottery collection. The glaze has a nice shine as you can see in the photos. Please examine them carefully. This bowl has never been used, come to you straight from the kiln. Dishwasher safe, microwave safe, & food safe. However, as with all ceramics, the potter recommends hand washing & no microwave, for longer life. A hot bowl pot holder is recommended when a ceramic piece is used in a microwave. Never place ceramics on a hot stove, for they will break. It is made of Soldate clay & are quite heavy.
