Vintage Mexican Tlaquepaque Coffee Mug. A rare & wonderful pale orange vintage mug from Old Mexico, with a scene of rural life. A farmer sits next to a group of desert flora resting in the heat of the day shaded under the fronds of a palm tree. The mug has rich colored glazes in green, pink, yellow, blue, brown & cream on this unusual shade of pale orange with a thin bright blue pinstripe around the outside edge on both top & bottom, also together with cream on the large handle. The large mug has a capacity of almost 16fl.oz & measures approximately 4.5 inches tall & over 3.5 inches in diameter at the base. It is in fabulous vintage condition considering its age, possibly from the early 1930's to mid 1950's. This wonderful mug is a fine example of Mexican Folk Art Pottery & would be a sweet addition to anyones collection of vintage Tlaquepaque Jalisco Pottery or vintage Mexicana. Beautiful, used to decorate a ranch, farmhouse or country style kitchen or house, used as a utensil pot for wooden spoons next to the stove.
