Very sweet little folk vase or pot. This is a really cute little ceramic vase/ pot with a handle. It has a pretty hand painted design in a simple botanical folk style, typical of Hungarian / Transylvanian ceramics. The exterior is glazed in a quite sheer white that appears almost pale pink over the terracotta base. The decorative design uses brush strokes in forest green, mid blue & dusky pink to create a floral & leaf pattern encircling the widest part of the pot. The interior is finished with a clear glaze that shows off the natural colour of the terracotta clay. Charmingly simple & rustic, it is perfectly imperfect. Use as a decorative piece on its own, or perhaps to display some freshly picked herbs & flowers from your garden. Good condition Produced in Hungary circa 1980s. Measures 10cm across the top, 8cm at the opening, 12cm at its widest part, 6.5cm at the base. It is 11cm from base to rim, & approximately 15cm including the handle.
