For women, Moroccan berber pantuos. handmade at a small, family-run workshop in Trafraoute, Morocco. This Tafraoute ethnic dress is without a doubt one of the most unique, with its tiny colored pompons & delicate broderies. This unusual model was only developed in Tafraoute, a little mountainous Anti-Atlas town south of Agadir. The pantoufles in this mountainous area are known for their high tongue. Originally, it provided better foot support & protected the Achilles tendon during mountain hikes. These chaussons are entirely made of leather. For added comfort, the chaussette & talon are each double-lined with leather.
