A newly-purchased copper bottle or vessel needs to be cleaned before you use it for the first time. Please follow the steps given below for cleaning/rinsing your copper bottles: Step 1: Wash the copper bottle with tap water Step 2: Add the juice of half a lime to the bottle. Add 1 Tbsp of salt & 1-2 cups of warm water. Screw on the lid & shake well. Pour out the solution & rinse well using tap water. Step 3: Use tap water to clean the outer surface Step 4: Rinse the bottle with water & leave it to dry Please avoid using harsh detergents, soaps or scrubs on either the inside or the outside of a copper bottle, since this may damage the surface.
