A fabulous antique Edwardian or earlier coal box / purdonium made of oak. The box has hinged lid with a brass handle & decorative brass trim. The inner metal liner is present as well as the coal shovel, which fits into a slot at the back. Condition: Wear consistent with age & use, some fading & staining on the top. Some paint flecks on the lid. There are 2 screws missing to the shovel holder. It is a fairly large & heavy item & postage varies a lot between countries, I can post it anywhere so please do get in touch for a price if your country is not listed.
