I use a laser to engrave & cut my original raccoon drawing onto wood. This gives a highly detailed, intricate finish that wonderfully captures the raccoon's character & charm. I use premium quality Cherry wood which has a central, wood composite core. This wood is more sustainable to produce than its solid wood counterparts, making it ideal for the eco-conscious. It also provides a smooth & stable surface that engraves beautifully & looks wonderful. Once engraved, I clean, condition, & sand the wood by hand. I apply 3 layers of protective varnish to each engraved face. This seals & protects the wood ready for use. The varnish also brings out the beautiful tones of the cherry & its lovely grain. This showcases the natural splendour of the wood, allowing it to make as much of a visual impact as the stunning engraving. I take a lot of care with all my designs & products & am proud to give these lovely designs a beautiful yet functional form for your home.
