Description
This fine crystal bowl was made by Val Saint Lambert of the Netherlands. It is similar to Lalique crystal of the period. This piece is hand signed Val St Lambert. The hand signed is preferred to the acid etched signature. The bowl measures 30 cm across (11 7/8 inches). Good weight, nice presence, it works as a center piece bowl or for fruit. It shows well when not in use. Classical Art Moderne styling from the 1940s. Art Moderne was a continuation & advancement on the art deco movement. Val St Lambert is one of the best glass makers in the world, up there with Baccarat & Lalique. The piece is in fine, near perfect, condition, with very minimal wear.
