Liberty Of London Year Mugs 1975 - 2007 Adams China Pool Pottery Masons China Ref:8 1978 I am selling a splendid collection of Liberty of London year mugs. I am selling them separately so please see my other listings. I have every year from 1975 to 2007. For some years I have 2 or 3 mugs available. The majority were made by Adams Pottery which were part of the Wedgwood Group. They produced Liberty's mugs until 1997. Poole Pottery made Liberty's mugs for a few years, 1998 until 2004. Then from 2005 to 2007 Masons China manufactured the year mugs. The common theme throughout the years of production was the beautiful celadon or duck egg blue glaze. The patterns changed each year. These mugs are now very collectable with some years being very sort after. All these mugs are old & some have some faults. Crazing of the glaze in some of the early Adams mugs is the biggest issue. It is odd that Adams China should have these problems after all they started producing pottery in 1769, you would have thought by 1975 they would have found glazes to fit the clay they were using! I will point out oddities in the individual descriptions for each mug. Ref: 8 1978 made by Adams. This is the Liberty mug for 1978. This mug has some crazing, please see the photos. Please look at the photographs carefully for overall condition, they are part of the description. I am happy to answer any questions you might have.
