These unique tentacle mugs make the perfect gift for those who are a 'sucker' for an octopus! I aim to make them look like they could have been pulled from the ocean floor amongst buried treasure. Made using white stoneware clay, they are wheel-thrown & feature two hand-sculpted, twisted tentacles. The lower portion is carved by hand & features a trio of decorative shell sprigs. The bottom is purposely left raw & unglazed to add to the rustic beach look. Each mug is different with its own character. You will receive the mug you see in the photo. Slight imperfections are a part of handmade pottery & add character to each piece. Holds approximately 13 fluid ounces of liquid. Twice fired. The mugs are firstly bisque fired to 1000 degrees centigrade, then glaze fired to 1222 degrees centigrade. The whole making process takes around 3 weeks. Each mug features a crisp, white interior.
