Beautiful lamp, Ash wood base with a retro lampshade. Your choice of 10 different Crawia patterns. Each of our beautiful Ash wood lamp bases are handmade especially for Gola by wood turner, Miriam Jones from Pen Lln, North Wales. The combination of this unique base & our stunning shades combine to create a striking design for the home. These lamps are more than an addition to your home dcor, they are treasured heirlooms to be passed from generation to generation. Base dimensions: Approximately 30cm height x 14cm diameter Requires E27 screw bulb Max 40W Fitted with a black fabric lighting cable Lampshade dimensions: - 30cm diameter x 21cm height IMPORTANT NOTES: - All of our lampshades are lined with heat safe backing material which has been tested & passed the glow wire test carried out by the Lighting Association. - Bulb not included. We recommend the use of low energy bulbs with our lamps. - We deliver as soon as possible, please let us know if you have a deadline & we'll do everything we can to meet it. - All bases are handmade & unique, so each one can vary slightly in size & grain of the wood. All our lamps are handmade to order. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. This design was inspired by the beautiful slate fences along the paths of the north west Wales quarrying areas. in the dictionary, 'craw' is defined as 'a piece of waste slate.' These are the wastes; the feeble amongst the mighty. But still they stand. Some have described 'crawia' as scars. But scars or the imperfect can be beautiful & these 'crawia' inspired us to create a textile design for our lampshades. This is our tribute to the 'crawia' & the craftsmen who created & installed them. Who are we? Mother & son working independently & collaboratively to create unique designs celebrating the past but also deeply rooted in the now, with the emphasis always on quality.
