An unusual & very attractive coffee or tea mug by Cornadia, Scotland for McLaggan Smith, the Celtic inspired decoration in blue on a creamy white ground . I think possibly representing the Salmon of Knowledge swimming in the Well of Segais on one side & a figure of the poet Finegas on the other . Finegas cooked one of the salmon & burnt his finger - he put his finger in his mouth & so absorbed the wisdom of the fish. in good vintage (80's?) pre-owned order with no damage or major wear.
