Description
This round glass panel illustrates an ammonite using low relief, colours & various processes to accentuate the texture of the ammonite. The front of the wall panel is smooth with the texture being on the underside of the glass creating shadows on the front. The glass is slightly translucent, the colours are different shades of blues, turquoises & lime green, you can see that the relief makes the design look different depending on the angle you look at it. DIMENSIONS: 29cm | 11 1/2 The front of the panel is smooth & the back is textured. After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs & makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are hand-carved, he applies the colours manually & the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C & annealed to ensure strength & durability. CONTAINS: 1 round ammonite wall panel in blue, turquoise & lime green with a set of 3 fixings & fitting instructions. FIxINGS: includes a set of 3 fixings & instructions, the wall panel will be 18mm(3/4) away from the wall, each fixing is a 2 part fixing provided with 2 allen keys, one part to screw into the wall & the second part is to be tighten with an allen key (provided) for the panel to slide in & to be tighten again.
