Made from oyster shells harvested from Nantucket, MA, Narragansett Bay, RI & New Jersey from 2020-2021. Please note each shell is unique & has its own variations. Generally, individual shells range from 3.5 to 5 inches in height from hinge to cup edge & shells in the 3-piece sets are in the 3in range. The shell cup is shiny with iridescent pearl paint & the outer shell is painted champagne gold. Comes with gold, sheer ribbon for hanging. These look gorgeous & sparkly on your Christmas tree & make a versatile gift. If you'd like to order a set larger than three at a time, send me a note. About Gilded Oysters I started decoupaging oysters in 2020 as a way to spend some time unplugged while stuck indoors in Newport, RI during quarantine. I quickly realized that they'd make great Christmas ornaments if I drilled a small hole toward the top & added a string or ribbon for hanging. Gilded Oyster oysterments were a big hit with family members & friends, so I decided to open up a shop to bring them to the Etsy community while raising money for Save the Bay, an organization dedicated to keeping Narragansett Bay clean & accessible to all . This year, I'm happy to have my Dad helping me with decoupaging, painting & shipping oysterments out for Christmas 2021. We'll be creating oysterments together in Newport & Asbury Park, NJ.
