Amazing Amphora ewer vase featuring gold cat heads at neck & bulbous bottom & three handles. Wonderful streaky blue-green-gold-glaze highlighted with cobalt blue glass jewels on all handles & spout, & the glaze finishing in a rich cobalt blue at the base. Substantial & important looking, & of course very unusual! On the bottom is the Amphora crown mark along with impressed numbers, as shown. 16 high x about 12 at widest point. Beautiful condition for its age with one cat head on the bottom apparently chipped & then touched up with gold paint, otherwise just minor expected scratch & scuff type wear.
