Issued as promotional material in the 50's 60's & 70's to bars & restaurants, throughout France, this pair of iconic mismatched Anis Gras glasses are collectors items or would simply be a colourful & quirky addition to your drinks cabinet or dining table! Anis Gras, is an aperitif drink flavoured with aniseed. Water is added to turn the clear liquid to a milky colour. This particular brand originates from Alger, Algeria & was first created in 1872 by the Gras brothers, who decided to market the Anisette recipe that had been in their family for generations. Popular since the the late 1800's & remains part of everyday life throughout France. The glasses measure approx 13cms (5ins) high with diameter of 6cm (2 1/2ins) The unpackaged weight is approx 300g Please be aware that our vintage items are preloved & not new.
