Inspired by coastal deco of old, this whale with add a coastal vibe to your space, for sure! Piece measures 36 x 18. All hand cut & framed, these make for a unique wall art piece. Four quality pine boards that are thick are painted & joined in the back with two slats. A frame is screwed to the top. The the whale hand cut from maple plywood & painted the color of your choice! The whale is mounted from the pine background to give it a shadow box feel. Two D-Rings on the back makes hanging easy. To preserve the longevity of the sign, we apply three coats of Clear Satin Halcyon Water-Based Marine Varnish. This varnish is a durable, one-part water-based marine varnish that dries to a UV-stable finish accentuating the wood grain & improving clarity. Its excellent UV protection, abrasion resistance, & stain retention make it ideal for exterior use. Furthermore, its long-lasting, hard finish resists scratches, solvents, & abrasion. Being an eco-friendly marine varnish, it is both hard enough & UV-stable enough to withstand assault from humans & harsh weather, while also remaining flexible enough to move with the wood as it expands & contracts due to weather & use. Give us three colors (whale, background, frame) & we can make up different variations for you! This piece is recommended for indoor hanging.
